Prayer for Leadership of the United Pentecostal Church International, Churches, and Ministries
Prayer for the United Pentecostal Church International on an organizational level is imperative, and prayer overall for leadership, churches, and ministries is crucial! Faithful, focused intercession helps to support the commissioned work of God.It is so vital that we support the ministry through intercessory prayer. We must pray specifically for our churches (including both leaders and laity) and all works. God has a glorious Church fully-equipped to face the challenges of this end time and fully-empowered for great victory!
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:” Ephesians 4:11-13

Pray that each minister receives specific direction and that they always be attune to God’s Spirit and obedient to His voice and His Word. (Proverbs 3:4)
Pray for a spirit of unity, humility, and cooperation among all works. Pray that the ministerial body pursues righteousness, faith, love, and peace. (I Thessalonians 5:23)
Pray for God to impart His divine knowledge, understanding, wisdom, counsel, direction, anointing, keen discernment, and ability to each minister. (Isaiah 11:2-3)

Why Pray for the 10/40 Window?
When I first started working for the World Network of Prayer, many of the “prayer” organizations in the evangelical world had a major emphasis on praying for the “10/40 Window”. Then the focused shifted elsewhere and many have stopped emphasizing the 10/40. Now in 2011, you seldom hear it even mentioned.
What is the “Ten – Forty Window” you might ask? It is the area on the map that is located from 10 degrees southto 40 degrees north of the equator.
There are 69 nations in the 10/40 Window that stretch from North Africa, across the Middle East and into Central Asia. Nearly four billion people live here, including 90 percent of the world’s poorest of the poor. It is estimated that 1.6 billion of these people have never had the chance to hear the Gospel and have no idea who Jesus is. The seat of every major non-Christian religion is headquartered in the 10/40 Window. (Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Animism, Atheism and Sikhism). Two thirds of the world’s population live within this area and 95% of them are unevangelized. In many of the 69 countries within the 10/40 Window, witnessing to someone is illegal and will result in imprisonment or death. Forty-five of the 50 worst countries for persecuting Christians are in the 10/40 Window. Child slavery and child prostitution run rampant in these nations. Horrific abuse of women and children is an everyday event. A majority of the world’s terrorist organizations are based in the 10/40 Window and children as young as two are trained to be Jihad soldiers.
The needs in this area are both desperate and urgent. I guess my question to you today is why aren’t we praying more for the 10/40 Window? God has been dealing with my heart about this and I am finding that many people around me are feeling the same.
The time is short. As Christians, shouldn’t we spend our time praying bigger than our circle of influence? The most populated area of the world is the least evangelized and this grieves my heart. My guess is it grieves God’s as well. It is reported that only $.05 of every $100 spent on missions globally (all denominations) is directed toward the nations in the 10/40 Window. The is $.0005% of all missions money designated to bring the Gospel to 66% of the world’s population.
I’m not sure why the focused has shifted from the 10/40 Window, but it seems to me that the opposite should be taking place. In this Prayer Connect, we are listing the countries in the 10/40 Window. Please take time each day to pray for a few (or all) of them. If you will look at some of the names and make note of them, I think you will see these same nations show up in much of the world news you hear about today. (Iran, Egypt, Israel, Libya, Syria, Somalia, Afghanistan) We have a big God. Isn’t it time we prayed big prayers?

Prayer for Spiritual Revival in the Church in the West
Through the Increase of Spiritual Knowledge and Wisdom
Introduction
On an average, pastors in the West spend 5 minutes per day in prayer. There is widespread apathy among believers in the church that are dissatisfied with the quality of preaching and spiritual ministry coming from the pulpit.Therate of divorce among members of the Christian Community, including the Clergy, is rivaling that of the people of the world. In Europe, where secular humanism has overrun the church, there is a steady decline in church attendance, particularly among the young that are turning to other religions such as Islam.Liberalism and materialism is on the rise in Europe and America challenging traditional Biblical Standards of morality and ethics that were once accepted norms throughout the Western world.Despite the dismal outlook particularly in Europe, there is a glimmer of hope in the West, reflected in the astounding growth of Pentecostalism here in the U.S. and parts of Europe, particularly among the African/Caribbean churches. The largest Protestant churches in Europe are led by a Nigerian pastors.
Prayer Points
Thank God for the growth occurring through Pentecostalism and among the African/Caribbean churches that are flourishing in parts of Europe. Pray for continued growth and expansion of this move of God in the church in the West and that this will serve as a catalyst of another mighty spiritual revival mainly in Europe.
Pray that believers will understand the priority of the Christian walk so they can please God and bear fruit in maturity, reflected in strong marriages and stable families that are committed to raising the next generation in keeping with Biblical standards. Pray for broken and struggling Christian marriages and homes.
Pray for believers that they will understand who they are and what they have in Christ, reflected in a bold and uncompromising stand for righteousness and godliness serving as a counter culture in a decadent age. Pray for believers who choose to live beneath their privileges and giftings.
Pray for believers to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Christ; God’s revelation of Himself is the rock of revelation on which we stand; pray that they might know Him and the hope of His calling and the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints and this spirit of wisdom and revelation in Christ will form the basis of life and ministry in the church and Christian community to send a powerful message to the world of the power of the Gospel and the hope we have in Christ.
Pray for pastors, Christian leaders, and congregations that they might know God intimately and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Fundamental to this desire to know God intimately and for growing in grace and knowledge of Christ is a strong commitment to prayer. Pray for the growth of the prayer movement among pastors and congregations particularly here in America and Europe.
Throughout his prayer, Paul reminded the Colossians of the truths he had taught them. He prayed that they might fully understand, embrace and live out these truths on a daily basis. It is as we commit ourselves as believers to live out these truths that we will be able to withstand the impact of current onslaught of liberalism, materialism and secular humanism. Pray for pastors, Christian Leaders and Congregations particularly in America and Europe to commit themselves to Biblical truths in such areas as human sexuality, marriage, social justice and ministry to the poor.
Most believers do not know the power available to them through the Holy Spirit (I John 4:4). Pray for an increased hunger for another major outpouring of the Holy Spirit particularly among pastors here in America and Europe that are struggling spiritually, burnt out, lonely and leaving the pastorate at an alarming rate due to sexual immorality.
Pray for pastors, Christian leaders and congregations that they will fully understand what they received when they were saved. Pray that they will have no excuses for lacking awareness of their calling, their inheritance or their power. Pray for those pastors, instructors and professors of Bible Colleges and Seminaries charged by God with the responsibility of imparting the truths of the Bible.
Pray for a visitation of God among the youth and young adult populations here in America and Europe for revival and spiritual transformation.

We regret to inform you that Reverend J.L. Hall passed away. In 2005, Brother Hall retired from the UPCI headquarters after 30 years of service…..23 of which he was Editor-in-Chief. He was widely respected both inside and outside the Oneness Pentecostal movement as one of its foremost theologians and historians. He served the apostolic movement as a teacher, pastor, preacher, editor, writer, district superintendent, theologian, and historian. Brother Hall’s work has had a tremendous impact on this organization as well as the Kingdom.
Please be in prayer for the Hall family during this difficult time.

Please pray for Spanish Ministry at New Life Tabernacle in Moorefield. It is growing and God is blessing… Pray for wisdom to discern the devices of the enemy in any plot to hinder or destroy this ministry…In Jesus Name!
Thanks to everyone who prayed for this ministry. Five Spanish people have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in the past two weeks…Please pray they would recognize their need to be baptized in Jesus Name. Corporate prayer works!!!
Here is a little more detail from Bishop Hudson: Brother and Sister Carter’s son Jonathan is in critical condition in ICU on a respirator due to his blood sugar dropping to critically low levels. Brother Carter said the news that the nurses and doctors are giving them at this point is not very good. PRAYER IS NEEDED NOW!
It’s our understanding that the son of Pastor Billy Carter (who serves as Presbyter of Section 4), is on a breathing machine, and they’re being told the chances do not look good. From a natural standpoint that may be true, but we know God is able to do miracles. We’re trying to get more details. In the meantime, please pray!
Sis. Bev Feathers fell on this past Saturday. She dislocated her wrist, which they set, and broke her thumb and a wrist bone. She is wearing a cast right now, and she is in a lot of pain. They are waiting to see if the dislocation will stay. If not, they will have to do surgery to place a pin. She really needs our prayers. Please help us pray. Thank you!
Please pray for salvation for David, Danielle, Jerry, Bobby, Brianna.
Please pray for Jose Ramirez…He needs the Holy Ghost and pray for him to receive a revelation of Baptism in the Name of Jesus.
From Superintendant Hudson,
THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTINUED PRAYER FOR ISRAEL AND THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM!
Last week, Attorney General Eric Holder announced indictments against Mansoor Arbabsiar, an Iranian-American citizen holding an Iranian passport, and Gholam Shakuri, an Iranian Quds Force member and relative of a senior terror mastermind in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. They were the key figures driving Iran’s plot to blow up the Saudi Arabian and Israeli embassies in Washington. This act of war has huge implications for political as well as security concerns.
President Obama would like nothing better than to get the US out of Iraq and Afghanistan, but the threat posed by Iran limits his options. Most of the improvised explosive devices used against American troops are coming from Iran. Iran’s latest attempt to launch a terror attack in the U.S. was a desperate move to intimidate President Obama, thinking they could scare him into a Jimmy Carter-like stupor. Instead, he boldly went public and exposed the plan, giving him moral justification to protect the Persian Gulf, by providing back-up support for Israel, and impeding Iran’s retaliatory capabilities.
Since 1979, when it declared war on the United States, Iran has used its terror proxies in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere in the region to target U.S. interests and allies. It is a screwdriver’s turn away from going nuclear. If the U.S. plays only the sanction card before the presidential election, a trillion-dollar atomic nuclear arms race will begin in the billion-Sunni Middle East. All of the Gulf Oil States will scramble to obtain nuclear reactors to defend themselves against Iran, a non-Arab terror state.
An atomic Iran would usher in an apocalyptic tsunami of terrorism against the Middle East and the world, the likes of which has never been known. Iran’s nuclear umbrella would usher in unending terrorist activities throughout the Gulf Oil States, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and Libya, as it attempts to establish an Islamic caliphate. Western countries would not be immune to Iran’s attacks.
Top former military sources in Israel told me that Israeli leaders will undertake the mission to destroy Iran’s most important nuclear facilities by launching a massive air strike designed to last 7 to 11 days at most. Iran would undoubtedly hit Israel with missiles from proxy strongholds in Gaza and Lebanon and at the same time, launch terrorist attacks on Jews worldwide by any means available—including suicide bombers. The threat is more serious than ever, and we must stand with the Jewish people right now.
Iran is on the brink of going nuclear, and Israel has no option but to stop this demon-possessed terror regime whose leader has declared that Israel is a “stinking corpse which will be wiped off the map,” and that the Jews are “evil, greedy thieves and murderers…a cancerous tumor…filthy germs and savage beasts.. a rotted dry tree…a true manifestation of Satan.”
PRAY SAINTS PRAY!!!
David M. Hudson
